Plasterboard is made of gypsum that has been formed into a board and is usually faced with a paper covering. It is attached to studs in housing construction and lightweight framed construction to create walls, but it can also be attached to masonry walls such as brick. It is also used as a ceiling lining and to create architectural design elements such as arches, eaves, and curved walls.
